Today we will work on completing our NOTAN designs. Note that there are specific things you can do to create the best design possible.
1) Cut your pieces out carefully. Try not to cut too far so you don't have over cuts. At the same time, cut far enough that your design comes out "clean" and you haven't pulled the pieces free. You can always clean up your edges with careful trimming.
2) Use a piece of practice paper to have under your pieces as you are applying glue onto the back of them. It is essential that you apply glue everywhere on the back of your cut pieces. Part of your assessment on this assignment will be how well they are glued down.
3) Make sure you have the pieces correctly aligned before you glue them in place.

Tomorrow we will be working in our journal/sketchbooks. Please get it out at the first of the period. Keep your portfolios off of the tables. Remember successful journal days end in good clean-up by all students, this includes washing all materials you use and correctly putting away all tools and materials.
