Today we are working in our journals. I encourage you to have fun and be experimental. This process is for you to learn different techniques that you can apply when creating art. I think it is a good idea to write in your journals and talk about the processes you are learning. It is quite possible that after a period of time you might be looking at a journal page and not quite remember how you did it. You should write down any notes you need to so this doesn't happen to you. When going over your journal individually with you, I will ask you to explain how you created certain pages.
So far there are many pages that are required for you to have completed and be in your journal. Everyone's technique pages will look different and that is a good thing but every journal is required to have specific techniques completed and shown in the pages. Here is a list of the required techniques as of this date:
1) wet on wet watercolor
2) wet on dry watercolor
3) dry on wet watercolor
4) salt technique using watercolor
5) masking tape with watercolor
6) saran wrap with waercolor
7) rubber cement resist with watercolor
8) dictionary page
9) page cut out and taped back in
10) cut out shapes rubbed over with ware soluble oil pastels
11) two layer light and dark value acrylic paint petroleum jelly resist
REMEMBER IF YOU MISS A DAY, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE YOUR WORK UP. YOU CAN DO THIS AT LUNCH, DURING TUTORIAL OR AFTER SCHOOL. LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU ARE PLANNING ON DOING THIS SO I CAN MAKE PLANS TO BE THERE.
